Been seeing a lot of this lately so I figured I start a thread for all the beers/liquor that are being branded with metal band names or simply allude to metal via their names...the one below, 1349, surprised me quite a bit, it was super good and heavy on the alcohol content. I almost bought Iron Maiden's beer but it was way too weak.

Though I don't like the band at all I enjoyed the ANGELUS APATRIDA beer

, also AVULSED Zombeer (that was actually one of my friend's craft beer with different label) was a susprisingly good abbey beer

I didn't likeThe Trooper beer at all , but at least its bottle looks great on my beer shelves Laughing

I bought a few of the Iron Maiden beers because how could you not, it was okay. I'm not really into English ales though. I'm really into German wheat beers right now so if Kreator market a beer I'd be really into that. Otherwise, not so much....

I am so sick of these over the top IPAs everyone goes gonzo for. It's played man....

it's a total nerd thing, and I hate it
the obsessive nature of some craft "quad IPA full of esoteric hops no one gives a shit about" beer dorks is scary

at least with music, you get to keep it

Whine now, drink later: does this kind of merchandise (?) make any sense? You can buy clothing to show which bands you like and be a living advertisement. You can use posters and flags to decorate your walls with band-related pictures. But drinks seem to have only a very shortlived connection to bands that is merely expressed by the tag anyway. So...why?

the usa made iron maiden beer was indeed very weak. low abv. not metal at all. but the uk version is apparently decent.

my band is working with a company making a imperial ipa for us to be released when our album is released. just in kegs not in bottles however.

I like to drink beer, so why not? I wouldn't get into the morals/reasons for band to do this..but fuck, who has the time to be so serious....

I mean don't get me wrong, there's a brewery pretty close to my house called Left Field that makes a coffee infused porter and it's fucking heavenly, and I'll gladly pick them up whenever they're in stock at $9 a bottle plus a $3 deposit, but most of these IPAs are incredibly similar, and if they're different, they're just overlapped to preposterous levels. There are a few I really like, like the Naughty Neighbour (an "American" style pale ale), the Spearhead one with pineapple in it (great, but only once in a while) and some of the GLB ones.

I hope more people decide to make stouts next year. The ones I've had lately have been great. Basically I want a stout mixed with coffee all the time, and to keep the thread on topic, I want Ares Kingdom on the label.
