Its all about the mood, I only can say. There is no logic at all, just the mood...

The mood was confused that day I think... Laughing

Otherwise as far as covers are concerned I am usually interested in hearing what a band will do to honor a band they admire.

Probably what helped to add some oddity to that Catamenia/Satyricon cover was that the offical domestic release of Volcano in North America was around 2004/05
It was a great deal of time after that album was actually released.

I prefer when the covers are on an ep or at least at the end of an album with a little pause in between.

It's a bit different when I don't know the song though. I've just recently been introduced to Angel Witch through a cover.

Don't you mean Countess?

I meant numerous covers of Bathory songs like 'Sacrifice' and 'The Reaper'.

I find it amusing that some people think that "The Green Manalishi" was actually written by Judas Priest. Laughing

It's the same with "Elisabeth Bathory" (Tormentor) and "Diamonds and Rust"...

People are retarded. I was at a Watain show recently, and they played the VON song "VON", but nobody realized it was a cover. Laughing

What do you guys think of Black Witchery's cover of Ritual by Blasphemy? I thought that was a good cover by Black Witchery.
