Studio report

The new album will now be entitled "DEFIANCE".

The previously mentioned title of SEIGE has been shelved for the next album.

The "Cold Steel.." LP re-release ,despite now having the new artwork, will have to wait now,as we focus completely on the new album.

So it is not the final one! Fucking great!

Can't wait to hear what they'll put out! It's been a while.

Expectations are really high.

Cool news. They are in the studio at the moment. I really cannot wait to listen to the final-result...

The demo-versions are already killer, but Mersus told me that the improved and new versions are almost not compareable to these demo tracks.

And great. I really thought this would have been their farewell release.

D'666 shall release albums and tour until our death, hehe...

Have to listen to both again tonight...

goddamn new D666 and Razor of Occam?!?

You sir I brand with the word "lucky"

and that is damn good news about D666! Long one of my top 3 or so favorite bands, I would fucking love to see them live again! Also with Razor of Occam on Metal Blade I hope they get some tour support to come to the US. Knowing Metal Blade I'm sure it'd be with some dreadful bands on the tour but I can deal with that if I get to see them.

He is lucky and he knows it! hehe

Would you say it's a continuation of Terror Abraxas Dennis?

I wish I could go again to United Metal Maniacs this year, KILLER lineup so far and D666 headlining.

Indeed, I am a lucky guy. Especially because Mersus forgot to take the CD with him (he was in a hurry and forgot the CD in my Player, hehe).

I would say it is again a completely different album, of course you still can hear it is D'666. The songs grow with every listen to it, the voice of KK is again totally killer...

Looking forward to hearing the finished product! 6 years between releases is too long. 2009 is already looking good with new D666 & Razor Of Occam releases.

Does KK share the vocal duties on the demo like he did on Cold Steel...?

I am not sure yet, but as far as I know it is just him + Matt doing few lines as well. But I might be wrong...

Cool, I'll have to check it out. Honestly "Cold Steel" didn't impress me very much. I own it and I maybe listen to it once every couple years... I always grab the first EP or Unchain The Wolves if I feel like D666.

I feel the same way. Sounded like they phoned that one in. But the Iron Pegasus EP was great IMO. I'm looking forward to this and some new ROO. And yes, Masters Throne is one lucky fucker to get the jump on both releases.

Personally I didn't like neither Cold Steel nor Phoenix Rising, though I like the rest of their stuff very much, but checking out the new album when it's out is a must! Denis, how about adding this cd-r to the sell list of CD's? I believe that if the final result gets a ''Phoenix Rising'' production, those who don't like it might still like the raw versions a lot Wink

Definitely looking forward to this... I actually liked Cold Steel... for an Iron Age quite a bit, more than Phoenix Rising. "Witch Hunter" is such an awesome song.

I actually enjoy all three of their albums about equally, each has its own sound and is brilliant in its own way. The very mechanical drum sound of Phoenix Rising is the only complaint I've ever had with the band.
