Ok, the economy sucks, (been touched on here before)
but how many of you spend most of your money on metal minus essentials
(food water house or appt.)

Before I quit my high paying due to shitty ethics of others, I had money to burn.

My wife does all the finances in the house, and said I can buy as much as metal as I want now, but I lose spending money an all other things like clothes, eating out, movies.
I have one pair of shoes, one pair of jeans that are about to rip, (I refuse to look like nuclear assault) so I quess I will break down for that.
So...The only thing I spend money on is metal, tapes vinyl cd's etc.
I quess I am a greedy motherfucker, but I still don't break the family income.

Some topic huh? While others are starving and shit, I am obsessed with
this. That throws the buddhist philosophy I have been practicing out the fucking window.
Sorry for the holiday buzkill

I used to have close to that, and the guy at my local indie store
never overpriced things so I picked up some great shit and have built
quite the collection.
I have shit I forgot I had, so I am good for a long time.

Ive cut back alot lately. And I find that getting parcels maybe once a week instead of everyday, has increased my listening experience. I get maybe 2-6 parcels a month, instead of almost everyday, when the dollar was weaker.

I went a little while without a job so I was usually tight on cash, because most of my bank savings are for college, but now I have a new job I will start back up with my usual purchase habits. Not all of it goes to metal though. I buy music from other genres as well, but I'm also a musician who records so I spend money on equipment. Then there are little things like food and taking the girlfriend out and whatnot. Money is nice to have, but it took a little while to learn how to even out what I spend it on.

I had to buy a stupid christmas dress for the office party recently, and first thing I thought was "fuck, I could have bought a Black Hole - Land of Mystery LP instead..." Hahaha.

Anyway, I don't buy anything unnecessary, and these days I have been cutting marjorly on going out to restaurants/bars.

All I spend my money right now is on food and music.

I spend all my cash for xero, postage costs, and tapes, cd's, vinyls, an live shows or alcochol. Even dont remember when last time bought anything other? The bad thing is fact that I'm a stud and dont have time for work.

It does increase the listening experience.
I have pulled out some old unleashed, samael, grave, darkthrone
etc. And they all sound fresh and new.
Plus I bought some Southern Lord stuff along time ago, I sold the first pressing of burning witch for 69.00 and bought the the new and improved one for 10.99 and had money for a moribund order.

That's true. I've been doing a lot of trading and selling lately instead of mostly straight-out buying stuff. I'm interested in buying metal-related bargains but of course, they're very far and few between.

I have to cut down spending next year or so after the Christ Mass hysteria and shit like that. I'm a student myself.
