dragging up this one...beats a new thread...anyway i like it, sounds pretty fucking cool. the only thing I don't like is how gimmicky it all is, the goofy clothes. not my band so what the fuck...do what they want. straigh ahead, leathers, denim and bulletbelts would be enough for me... (same would apply to Portrait and Enforcer)

any word on a full lenght?

I'd say I share this opinion ... their "look" is not my cup of tea but fuck, I love this Ep and of couse a full length would be more than welcome.

The 12" version of this EP is pretty cool too.

I've just ordered the Sonichouse tapes off NWN, I have no idea what they look like or what not, I heard a track on the radio and thought this has the rock.

The "ballad" on Sonichouse Tapes is a little much though I admit.

Most likely Very Happy

But anyway, it's still in the best nwobhm tradition to have one single crap song in an otherwise cool tracklist. Anyone said "Sweet Danger"?

Love Crime is really cool. I mostly prefer the LP version with the Hammond organ. The live version is hilarious though, really hard to get shriek voice then clean voice then shriek voice. But that's a part of the band I think.
Love Crime should be released on a single.

The music for Armour is good. I traded away the original demo CD, so I might pick up the NWN! release.

Thing is though, these retro style bands seem more like novelty acts. Novelty wears off and one week it's cool and fresh, the next week it just seems silly.

The Portrait full-length is BORING. No memorable riffs or anything, weak production. The demo and 7" was much better.

However, RAM from Sweden are fucking great. They seem like the only new HM band that's going to have longevity. I can't wait for their new one.

Didn't know they were that old, but pretty much yes. If they didn't release an album in the 80's or early 90's and are current...they are new to me!

I have been getting into this band and I think they are one of the better bands out right now. I just can't help but think that the vocals remind me of Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo from South Park....

Tyrant Werewolf looks like Sam Kinison.

Outside of that, I dig'em. they play Heavy Metal in the vein of early W.A.S.P. which is points in my book.

Great news!

Also, RAM is fucking fantastic. I can't believe I hadn't heard (of) them until I saw this thread.
