Armour is killer Heavy Metal- a new band playing the old way- with Cast Iron and Witchtiger, and along with Sweden (Portrait/Enforcer/In Solitude) is pretty much the only 'new' bands that are getting me excited at the moment. Would love to see Armour live.

If there can be a million and one bands ripping off Darkthrone, then I'll take the few ripping off Accept, Whitesnake, Priest, and Heavy Load.

yeah, lets not forget the mighty WASP!
this lame girl band Armour in my opinion sounds just like a "new" WASP?!
c'mon people, lets keep it "true & real" , 80's metal was were it was at!
Enough of this "revival" bullshit!

I personally think Painkiller is a shit album. I don't know why it gets so much hype.

Agreed though the opener/title track is ok

I think title track is most overrated, rest (especially Leather Rebel and Metal Meltdown) are much better

My fave is probably Nightcrawler. BUt I see Painkiller not really as a Priest album, my faves are Killing MAchine, British Steel and Unleashed in the East. JUst like Russian Roulette era ACCEPT is great in a different way than their 70īs/ early 80īs stuff was !

Thatīs a topic one could debate about for hours. I see it from a different point of view. I sometimes think itīs strange when bands who take years to complete a few songs come up with something I could create in 10 minutes.

True, most other older Priests are much more aking to that British blues influenced Heavy/Rock. Painkiller sticks out.

AGREED! Priest Sodomy demo rules, so does Old Necromancers!

Even though I am sure all of you have your tastes and all,
none of these bands you speak about aren't comparable
to Armour in any way and should not be of any concern in
this context.

Comparing the Sonic MCD to the LP, there are some changes, like Hammond... Is this just another mix or some tracks have been re-recorded ?

Love Crime sounds better with the Hammond parts.

No it's just with the hammond added to the mix. It's the guy from Finntroll/Moonsorrow who's doing the keyboards, hehe!

I guess I enjoy Armour for what it basically is, no-frills hardrock/metal which sounds sincere enough.

It's the ex-guitarist of Horna (Moredhel) who formed Battlelore, there's really
no context to any of my projects with these fantasy metal perverts.

You mean this Circle band from finland? I have never had anything to do with them.

oups sorry I misread on the metal archives page. It sounded strange to say the least.
Just checking out and it was Kyprian Circle actually. I have the second demo, when it was a one man band.
