I realized that the box is sold out in the preorders.

The Opeth box looks great, but the content is not what I was hoping it to be. The LPs are all in black sleeves with no coverart, except for stamp sized pictures on the "obi strips". Also there are no lyrics or information about the releases. The t-shirt design is way too artsy for my taste, and who needs an Opeth stencil?

Still, I would like to see the Immortal box happen (with cover art, lyrics, and the band's permission of course). I never bought the original releases, and I won't pay eBay prices, so I decided to buy the re-releases on Osmose. I first bought the debut LP, but was shocked to hear that the last track was missing entirely (!). Osmose obviously doesn't listen to test presses, and doesn't give a shit about their customers. If they did, the records would be pulled from the market as soon as someone discovered the missing track (I assume I'm not the first one to discover this). They made a similar mistake with the horrible Mystifier 2CD, which was missing two tracks, if I remember correctly. Needless to say, I never bought the rest of the Immortal re-releases, and I hope that another label will do these great records justice.

Nice "collector's item". Hate this posershit. Rolling Eyes
"Yeah you could also listen to it. But it's supposed to be presented to your visitors."

The black LP looks good though.

this box does not make sense. i would love to have a copy but there is no way I am paying 90 euro which is in fact a bonus cash-in compared to the usual cd/lp. shame on the band for not correcting Rolling Eyes

The actual printing-cost for this does maybe reach half and they are making close to 50.000 euro in profit (1000 copies) on this as a bonus to normal versions (cd/lp). I confronted the band this weekend but with no response for different reasons. Buy the black vinyl. Its a good album.
