I have finally reopened Dark Adversary Productions after over a year of it being pretty much closed (other then "From the Abyss" being released).
I have found some sold out CD releases and will be putting more things up soon as well as some vinyls and some tapes that I have found, and some of my own personal collection.
New releases to come soon to.
Spread the news!
Official page is the bigcartel (the old site is now dust).

Updated Black Funeral bio & description (from the official facebook https://www.facebook.com/Black-Funeral-118578661500989/ ):

Quote:
Black Funeral has existed as one of the original American black metal bands in 1993, taking cold and deathlike music to different areas of the black arts. Black Funeral early one played “Grim Medieval Vampyric Black Metal”; having numerous session members with each album founder Akhtya Nachttoter continued to record albums from 1995 through 2013. In 2015, Akhtya Nachttoter began working with Azgorh Drakenhof of legendary black metal cult, “Drowning the Light” (Australia), who soon joined Black Funeral as a full member in 2015. Azgorh is an obvious visionary whose passion for Luciferian and Vampyric music is mutually similar to that of Akhtya Nachttoter, both members have equally creative talents which both incorporate into Black Funeral to elevate it to a whole new level.
As an artistic representation of a variety of traditions in the Black Arts, the darksome and macabre hymns of the cult which is Black Funeral has withstood the test of time. Black Funeral is a musical manifestation of the primal Chaos in a variety of shapes, forms and Acasual darkness. Black Funeral in 2016 is evoking and twisting realms revealed in the music as nightmares, haunted tombs, ruins and the horror of the subconscious mind in the beauty of the shadow-self. Black Funeral incorporates themes which have a deeper meaning concerning symbolism presented: vampirism, necromancy, demonic and mythological tales interpreted from the fog-enshrouded nightmare of those dwelling in darkness.
Black Funeral is both art and a mirror which reflects back the infernally beautiful darkness and the chthonic inspiration it inspires. Black Funeral is forged in the Black Flame of the artists who reflect Luciferian power held in iron determination.
Black Funeral is not dabbling or trendy entertainment; it is black musical art inspired in a Necrosophic oracle, whispering spells beckoning incarnation of the primal darkness within us.
The origins of Black Funeral are found in the early virtually non-existent black metal scene of the USA and Indianapolis, Indiana in 1993. Founder Akhtya Nachttoter (Luciferian Author and Black Ambient artist Michael W. Ford, known in 93-97 as Baron Abaddon Nachttoter) was deeply involved in Satanism and Magick and was inspired by the first and second wave of black metal and willed himself to create a cold, necrotic and festering dark atmosphere beholding lyrical sorcery. Black Funeral has existed and evolved with only Akhtya Nachttoter as the founder and artist, working with appropriate other musicians on numerous albums.
Black Funeral has ascended again in 2016, inspired to strengthen and enhance potential in black metal. Our muse being the immortal black flame beholden within us, inspiring horrifically haunting passions taking substance of wraiths. Black Funeral’s inherent desire as a musical entity is not that of one or another of its members; Black Funeral is an egregor with a deep desire to consume souls.

Quote:
In this present time, Black Funeral exists to create artistic sonic “worlds” and “Otherworldly” phantoms and shadow-filled ruins in each recording. To contribute to the genre, we must elevate our album offerings with a unique while cultivating the grim black metal traditions to embrace equally haunting and inspiring advances.
Black Funeral is determined to create a type of traditional black metal with a unique expression and balance with dark, ghostlike soundscapes, screams and a wide range of demonic utterances to enhance and draw the listener in to the abyssic darkness of the cult. Black Funeral weaves grim and violent black metal hostility with atmospheres utilizing a wide range of instruments and techniques, from atmospheres created from natural sounds including winds, owls, ravens, crows, wolves to even majestic yet haunting medieval atmospheres. Black Funeral explores traditional black metal with unorthodox accents of black ambient glimpses into the abyss and the netherworld of haunted phantom ruins.
To explore the truly Luciferian knowledge of creating “spheres” of otherworldly pieces in Black Funeral, elements from various ancient cultures including Celtic, Germanic, Greco-Roman and Ancient Near Eastern instruments are minimally incorporated to highlight the atmosphere of the piece in question. Examples include instruments such as the Doumbek, Frame, Timpani and Kettle drums, the oud, stringed-instrument the Qanoun, Woodwind instruments such as the Armenian Dumduk and even Human Bone instruments including the Tibetan thigh bone trumpet, known as the Kangling. Black Funeral embraces atmospheres which inspire a medieval European atmosphere as well including horns, harpsicords, church organs and more. The key to Black Funeral’s darksome creation of current grim pieces are inspired by a blending of dark sacral atmospheres and black ambient ritual invocations to balance an artistic creation of dissonant and disharmonic black metal.
Black Funeral represents the following:
The many incarnations and manifestations of the Adversary.
The Satanic and Luciferian Predatory instinct known in myth and practice as Vampyrism.
Celebrating and cultivating darkness taking shape in the symbols of Death including the haunting atmosphere of gray, foggy imagery of the Netherworld. The artists which compose in Black Funeral live and practice Luciferian and Satanic traditions; it is a contemporary artistic creation which is narrow and ruthless in achieving Black Funeral’s “vision”.

GoatowaRex in conspiracy with DAP, we are doing the vinyl reissue of classic 90' USBM, Crimson Moon's vampiric masterpiece To Embrace the Vampyric Blood. This will be a definitive reissue with unseen photos, complete lyrics, historical booklet with liner note and old flyers.

Sounds like another highly anticipated release; will surely pick this up when it's available. Is there any news on the Black Funeral LPs from either you or DAP?

Black Funeral - "Empire of Blood" LP

When is this coming out? It's one of the best black metal recordings from the US. I like this version more than the Vampire version. What's the story behind the two albums? It's essentially the same instrumental recording with different mastering and vocals right?

Is Michael Ford really skilled in black magic and performs rituals?

I disagree, I worship the 'Vampyr..' recording. Just a matter of taste obviously. I contacted Michael about doing a proper vinyl edition of that but never got a reply. Hope it get's done someday, don't care by whom really.

Would like to hear the story too btw.

Goddamn I really did not miss your style of brain dead trolling...

@YK: They're different recordings all together. "Vampyr - TotB" was a demo recording or something along those lines and wasn't originally intended for release iirc. EoB is the fully realised version; I guess it is what was originally intended. Someone else can probably fill in the blanks or correct me where I'm wrong...

There should be a design coming out with this new album.
If you haven't already, check out the 3 designs Goatowarex released ( http://goatowarex.storenvy.com/ ) - some of the best looking Black Funeral shirts i've seen, also top quality.

I was speaking to him the other day about this, the layout is almost finished for "Empire of Blood", so once that gets done it will go straight into press.
I totally agree (and always have) that EoB is better then Vampyr.
I remember one rumor about it was that EoB was the master tape simply sped up, bass lowered, and new vocals/lyrics put over it + some synth tracks added.
Still probably my favorite USBM recording, and one of my favorite BM recordings period (always been up there with the likes of Mutiilation "Vampires..." etc. for me).

Indeed, again one of my favorites from the US!

But of course the ex member who was kicked out of the band - Overlord - is now saying he will do his versions. Always a mess with these situations.

Also to save confusion, the OFFICIAL CM page is: https://www.facebook.com/Crimsonmoonxeper/

The FAKE page is: https://www.facebook.com/CrimsonMoonOfficial/ (funnily enough the one with "official" in the url Rolling Eyes ).
