Went to "A Varning from Montreal" fest last night, and saw this amazing band... they completely blew me away.

MORNE is a band featuring ex DISRUPT and FILTH OF MANKIND members. I would describe it as some kind of atmospheric doomy crust... It sounds much like AMEBIX/AXEGRINDER meets NEUROSIS, but keeps an original and different feel.

Nevertheless, it's really fucking good:

I really like this so far. The keyboards give it an interesting vibe.

Excited to hear more in the future.

Glad you like it! The keyboards are indeed a nice touch, and are used very subtly… I can’t stop listening to their demo!

Jeff (ex-disrupt, Grief) told me he had joined this band when I spoke with him this summer. I'd forgotten to check them out. Thanks for the reminder, going to the myspace page now!

thank you for the heads up, ma'am.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! i go along with your feeling as i am sitting here right steamrolled too. filthy crust and kind of atmospheric dooom make definitely a great couple. it is like they were complement one another perfectly. what is missing in one, brings the other part in and vice versa.

reminds me of giving counterblast a spin. also a great outfit that combines the harshness of crust with fragile moments of dooom.

Really good stuff. The underlying synths add a nice haunting feel to the whole tune.

I've been keeping my eye on this band for a little bit. I've been meaning to pick up their demo, and I should really do that before it's too late.

Sweet... by the way, for people living close to Providence/Boston, the AMEBIX/MORNE show is confirmed in Providence. Me and some friends from Canada are definitely hitting that one!
