Powertrash, fuck yes, it gives me shiver every time I listen to it...

Messiah is a band moving between the genders. The members played in the beginning with corpse painting like Hellhammer.

Extreme Cold Weather and Hymn To Abramelin are works moving between thrash and black. People telling that was death metal, should take note of the fact, that the instruments weren't accorded for death metal. The lines aren't typical for the sound too.

I saw the band live back in 1990 in **Locarno**. The support band was quit crappy. I tried to get an exposed copy of Extreme Cold Weather in blue vinyl to a reasonable price. The answer was "It's not for sale"... Fuck off!

That evening was real fun, although far from the atmosphere of the original Messiah.

AMAZING band! One of my favorite Thrash Metal bands, for sure.

I picked up a copy of the demo reissues done by iron pegesus the other day, fantastic stuff.

The demos are brilliant indeed.
Tschösi's vocals are one of the craziest.

I love "Choir of Horrors" and "Psychomorphia" the best - killer death/thrash. "Rotten Perish" has some worthy parts but is overall kind of dull compared to those other two. I can't really get into their earlier stuff - I know a lot of people like it but several things about it rub me the wrong way.

^^^ This.

Their debut LP is OK. The drumming sucks so bad. Would be much better with a good drummer.

Tschösi sounded more possessed in Fear Of God. Wish his vocals would have sounded more like that while in Messiah.

The Messiah on Seraphic Decay Records was really good. It doesn't sound like that's the same one though.

This is almost as funny as the guy who thought Nirvana 2002 was the grunge band.

Definitely Choir of Horrors and Psychomorphia are the best Messiah records in my opinion. I kinda enjoyed Underground too.

You are crazy. How can you deny the genius that is Hymn to Abramelin?

I thought he played guitar in Fear of God and Erich Keller was the singer?

I've got Extreme Cold Weather, Rotten Perish, and Underground.

Underground is pretty forgettable honestly, just sort of limp and uninspired sounding. Rotten Perish is enjoyable, but not as good as Extreme Cold Weather, which is easily my favorite by them. I don't own Hymns, but I've got mp3 downloads of it. It's definitely good as well.
