I ordered my copy through a seller on Amazon. As far as I know it's on it's way to me. I've been waiting for Necrophobic to release these demos and 7" on CD for a long time. Some of my favorite early 90's Swedish Death Metal...that guitar sound on the "Unholy Prophecies" demo is simply devastating...and the vocals from the guy in Crematory are fucking brutal...whatever happened to him?

From REGAIN website news...
Quote:

2008-06-17
NECROPHOBIC(swe) is going to release a limited metalbox called "Satanic Blasphemies" via Regain Records in september 2008. The metalbox will include a CD, a poster, a patch and a extensive booklet. The CD features the material of the first two legendary demos ("Slow Asphyxiation" 90 & "Unholy Prophecies" 91) + the legendary 7"EP "The Call" 92! The material comes fully remastered!!!

Look out for this masterpiece of true satanic death metal made in Sweden!

Remastered demos tapes will suck as hell. Rather listen the tapes. FUCK OFF!!!

Yes, it would be so much better to spend a shitload of money for an original copy (or a dub that's being passed off as an original) or have someone dub their worn out tape or download a poorly done rip of a worn out tape (or a worn out dub of a worn out tape) or just give up on hearing the demos at all! That's totally preferable when the other option is a CD! Especially if it's remastered!

One more copy for the rest of us, I guess. I vastly prefer a nicely done compilation CD or vinyl to a 4th generation dub or an mp3 somebody ripped using inferior equipment and their own 2nd gen dub. Yeah, let's make this stuff sound as shitty as absolutely possbile - how kvlt of us. Rolling Eyes

Several German distros have taken it out of their "announcement list" a long time ago already as it got shifted and shifted further each week. Don't know when this will finally be unleashed.

New release date again...

The long-delayed digibox from Stockholm, Sweden-based death/black metallers NECROPHOBIC, entitled "Satanic Blasphemies", will finally surface in April via Regain Records. The CD features material from the band's first two demos (1990's "Slow Asphyxiation" and 1991's "Unholy Prophecies") plus "The Call" 7" EP from 1992 and includes a poster and a patch. It was remastered at the Cutting Room by Peter In de Betou.

"Satanic Blasphemies" track listing:

01. Slow Asphyxiation
02. Realm Of Terror
03. Retaliation
04. Sacrificial Rites
05. Unholy Prophecies
06. Inborn Evil
07. Shadows Of The Moon
08. The Ancients Gate
09. Father Of Creation

Damn, you'd think Regain - with so many high-profile artists and a very large distribution - wouldn't be so damn incompetent. This has been pushed back repeatedly as stated in this thread. The last "solid" release date was late March - came and went. Then Regain posted on their site that it would be "out in April!" - came and went. Now May has almost disappeared too, and still no CD. Regain has it listed as being for sale already (there's a "Buy" option) but their webstore is eternally "under construction," so that doesn't work.

Latest date I saw was July 7 on the CD Universe site. July, really??? Frankly I'll be surprised if it appears even then. I bet it ends up getting delayed at least a year past when it was supposed to be out.

I need the BOX! Damn them for not releasing this yet. Sad

HOLY SHIT this actually exists now. It's in my player as we speak. Twisted Evil

For those who want to know, Regain did a good job. The booklet is not the best I've seen but all the original cover art is included, and there are notes about who played on each recording & how many were pressed and sold. Cover art is sweet. And most important, the sound is good, clear, and heavy (at least what I've heard so far - I'm only halfway through). This comp lays waste to the half-assed job Necroharmonic did with Crematory's demos. Totally worth the wait.
