oh hell yeah, Scattered Remnants are one of the most underrated DM bands of the 90s, and was one of the earliest to utilize slams, but they were so much more than that.....

cool to see them getting reissued, dont know if I will buy this since I already have Indulgence in Masochism which is pretty much a discography CD, still cool to see them getting reissued tho

Definitely. I can understand not getting it since you have that discography cd. If I'm not mistaken, that cd has every song except for the re-recorded version of "Vaginal Vomit" from the album "Destined to Fail".

I'm glad to read positive words about "Scattered Remnants"! I wish I still had my old newsletters and flyers etc. Stupidly got rid of it all a few years ago.

Spain had also some bands that never are mentioned when it comes to slam...

Reincarnation
Reincarnation's "Void" album from 1997: it's sloppy, but this album is one of the best slam albums by an European band in the 90's! Too band that their 2nd album has crap vocals all othe place, because music wise it;s not that bad! This band truly belongs more in this thread then the crap of an overproduced band like Analepsy......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtvrKBA56rc

Fermento
"Symbols of Decrepitude, Symbols of Supremacy" has pretty cool slams an interesting tempo changes: it has definately a flair of NYDM in it! Too bad of the frog vocals but other then that, it;s 100% slam

Earthborn Deity was really heavy Dying Fetus/NYDM style stuff minus the blast beats from Southern Maryland. Major Next Step Up influence so tons of break beats and breakdowns.

I'd link something but there's nothing on youtube... they're not even on metal archives. But I saw them a ton of times in the 1994-1997 era.

This band was like Dying Fetus's little brother in these parts for a time. Some tasty trivia: They're the group that blew out the mains at Wilmers Park. Brutal!

Any chance of a rip for this?

New ED track kills:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXHbPyYxuoE

Somehow the bass drops got even MORE 'tarded and the riff at 1:24 is the hardest thing I've heard all year

I'll definitely pick this one up. Retarded as fuck. Vocals are just about right for me, too.

This Septic Congestion has been out for a year or two but just picked it up. Gud chit-

Buried In Pieces "Separated" is good, slow-motion caveman shit. Got the EP from Comatose, they should still have it if y'all are interested.
