Just noticed on a TV in the background of a scene from the Brady Bunch Movie there is the Suicidal Tendencies "Trip At The Brain" clip playing

A kid is blasting Kreator's Pleasure to Kill and wearing a Morbid shirt in that new Netflix show Dark.
Not totally unexpected, but pretty cool.

Yes, although it might be a bit anachronic.

Now that Motley Crue and Iron Maiden and ...Metallica are considered 'classic' rock bands and occasionally tracks off Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets get radio play on top 40 classic rock stations Laughing ...I guess the genre of metal has lingered around long enough that its no longer shameful or a niche interest to hide that people are going to eventually 'out grow' as so many adults suggested some 30 years ago when I was a teenager.

Youth into metal must have finally grown up and taken their metal interests into their careers with them, some finally haven broken into the TV and movie business and expressing the format known across the screens now, at least on a slightly wider basis... acceptable now where as before maybe it was not so much known?

There was a new character in Stranger Things that was portrayed as an 80's Metalhead, almost every time he appeared a Motley Crüe, Scorpions or even a Metallica track would play.

Part of the story takes place on November 1986. The Kreator LP is fine, but the Morbid t-shirt looks far-fetched...
Still, the show is fantastic, in my opinion.

Kid on Stranger Things season 2 had a Tank poster in his room.

Here a statue of a metal butt-plug they put up downtown in my city. Probably because of all the assholes around here.

Laughing

I remember back already some 30 years ago, in Golden BC where I was born and grew up... right center downtown infront the post office they curtained off this whole area with rumor of some great artist making a stellar center piece of art for the town, to represent the town and the mountains and all that jazz... speculation and excitement and curiosity was aloof amongst us peasants and then the reveal... (after months of work this is what it was)

Laughing

This is not from Golden, but its the same damned fountain... what a joke. Scrap metal garbage? Months of work??? Who the fuck is the government kidding?

Demoniarch-If that piece doesn't make you fall to your knees, you CLEARLY don't understand real art.

Or at least, that's what I've heard Rolling Eyes

There is a military base somewhere in Texas that... behold its glory... has this life sized replica of a certain painters artwork. Now THIS is art. That crap fountain from my childhood and more recently this stack of hollow silver balls they left behind? here in Edmonton (garbage again from the bridge construction or art???)... is a fucking joke. These silver globes cost apparently $600,000 to put up and thousands every year to clean off the vandalism. Fucking government cock suckers need to all die.

The most EPIC fucking beautiful thing ever... real art!

Edmontons apparently $600,000 garabage pile...

Such a fucking disgraceful ridiculous fucking joke... $600,000 plus $5000 a year to maintain??? Pathetic.

An episode of Big Mouth (animated Netflix series) briefly features a spoof of the Eaten Back to Life album cover on a poster in a character's room.
