I can't find any threads about this great project. Their most recent album was one of the best of 2014, and the first album is still on constant rotation.

Living in the shadow of the past.

HELLHAMMER > TRIPTYKON

CELTIC FROST > TRIPTYKON

Of course there are moments of both Hellhammer and Celtic Frost in Triptykon, but it also has more avantguarde and experimentation to add to it's appeal.

The best "Triptykon" album is the last Celtic Frost album.

Agree. It's superior to any TRIPTYKON.

Sometimes I like the band, sometimes the vocal phrasing or the manner in which the vocals are done grates on me.

I bought both the CD's and that last Celtic Frost album, which pretty much is not that far off and sometimes can get into it, however rarely do I finish an album once started though.

I skipped the EP altogether, and yet at the risk of losing scene points I really liked that Shatter song the best of all of it. The vocal trade off with that chick worked really well and that song itself is perfect.

Monothiest was outstanding and Triptykon is the continuation.

I like the music but the guitars are tuned too low for my taste. I've got both their albums + "Monotheist".

Love monotheist and the two triptykon albums. Hope I can see them live one day, as I never got to see cf when they were touring.

They're only known appearance this year in the States is at MDF.

There may be a tour in the fall or winter, but that is totally speculation on my part.
