How rare is the vinyl? The original S/T version I know fetches some big bucks when it pops up on eBay. I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but it seems the original is more common than the Peaceville release.

I'd be happy with either. I'm very fucking sick of having this only on CD. This record was made for vinyl. If anyone has either, let me know. I might be willing to sacrifice something from the vault for it.

In case you didn't know already: You should be aware that those vinyl versions differ in sound. Peaceville LP and CD are remixed and also the running order is different from the original I think. I haven't heard the original mix but atleast the 1st version of "Day Of Reckoning" is totally different to pissville-remix with re-recorded drums etc.

It's my one of my favorite albums ever, but I never knew that. I don't doubt that it could sound better, but damn...I can't find anything wrong with Peaceville's version. Victor Griffin's guitar tone raises the dead.

I guess I need both now.

The original vinyl is actually sped up a bit, changing the key of the songs. This was done during the actually mixing process, and Bobby went in to rerecord the vocals. I'm pretty sure the vocal sessions used for the Peaceville versions were different, because Bobby sounds a lot more under the influence in certain parts on the original. Twisted Evil

Well yeah, the whole album is actually just a Deathrow demo and the changes were to make the album a bit different from the demo.

This is the one that Joe Hasselvander re-recorded the drums.

Crazy that they never released the original again.

I don't think the s/t remix has re-recorded drums. It's Day Of Reckoning where Joe didn't even play in the first place.

Yeah, Peaceville's Relentless actually represented Death Row a little more accurately than the original release. But it's more about having the original the way it was first presented.

And yeah, the Peaceville version of Day of Reckoning SUCKS.

You're right. I was thinking about that one. Guess I never heard the original Pentagram - Relentless then. Anyone have it to upload?
