so, i'm placing a merch order for my band...

just curious what sort of breakdown those of you in bands go for when you're ordering your merch.

those of you not in bands - what size do you wear?

just trying to get a feel for what i should be going for.

we've got a fuckton of XL left over from our previous order. mediums and larges seem to be the biggest sellers.

here's what i'm thinkin:

S- 6
M- 24
L- 24
XL- 12
2XL- 6

*** also, is there a brand that you find to be superior? ***
i'd love to do american apparel, but it's just way too expensive to make sense

appreciate any feedback

Medium sells the best for me. I usually sell out of Mediums first before any other sizes. XL tends to stick around for a long time.

I'm size M. I prefer Hanes 100% Cotton tees.

I like M - and I'm wearing a Gildan Heavy Weight Cotton t-shirt right now - and it's really comfortable.

Large. I am average size, but I have broad shoulders and muscular arms...so the large might be a bit long for me, but I have no choice. Medium are too tight around the shoulders and arms.

large.

I also hate american apparel shirts. If I went to a show with the intent of buying a shirt and all they had were ones printed on american apparel shirts I'd say fuck it. Unless it was the most bad ass shirt design I had ever seen..then I might consider getting it. Their sleeves are too fucking small! I'll leave the tight fitting clothes to the art school wanks.

I agree, American Apparels large are like mediums to normal shirts. They're soft though.

Anvil shirts are great quality... Gildan Heavy Weight Cotton shirts as well, but for some reason an XL Gildan t-shirt will fit fine, but an XL Gildan longsleeve is massive Razz

cause Americans don't want to be reminded of how fat we are with triple and quadruple extra large shirts. (by European standards) Or conversely Europeans don't want to seem like dainty little pixies with extra small shirts. Or they are two different scales that happen to use the same set of symbols. Much like everyone and their mother has a different meaning for "Near Mint" when grading vinyl.

I wear an American XL. I would not be considered fat anywhere on this earth... and no where near as large as others I know.
American XL size is an appropiate fit for me. A euro XL is a childs shirt it seems. Like ordering a M if compared to the American XL.

I am certain there are Europeans the same size as me. If not, how fucking small are all you all over there? ...and where the hell do you get your XXXXL shirts then for what I would consider normal sized ? Wink

(on a side note) As for shirts being too long, thats the easiest part to tailor. Get your mom to raise the bottom hem up. Cool

American XL = Craig Sielski ?
Euro XL = Dio ?
Confused
