True, it is better that they end it now before they get stale and boring, however it does mean that there won't be no GotH in Europe next year. Was looking forward to that tour.

Yeah, Chuck & Alex from ARES KINGDOM told me Saturday night that GOTH was calling it a day,
that was who they were supposed to go tour with in Europe in 2009.... so now they are trying to work something else out...

Fucks sake, never did expect this one.... especially as it seemed that they were finally getting that little bit more attention.

First Axis of Advance and now this... the number of great current bands seems to be dwindling this year, what a shame.

I didn't really like the last record as much as their earlier stuff, but GotH was still one of the best bands recording in this style, as well as an incredible live band. I hope the members will go on to new and even better things... an iron will is the will to succeed!

I agree, two of my favorite bands gone within a short time of one another. Hopefully no other great bands bow out this year Sad

Ditto.
Saw them in San Diego and San Antonio as well.
Sucks they won't be doing the European tour though.

Me neither. Maybe they suffer from a Kaamos-syndrom sooner or later. Who knows...

Glad I had the opportunity to witness their live assault earlier this year at the Sacrifice of the Nazarene Child festival in San Antonio, TX. They had one of the best performances that I saw/heard at the SotNC IX fest if not the best. I'm anxious to hear what musical endeavors Howitzer pursues next.
