Is this from the 70's/80's?
This guy looks like Bruce Campbell. _________________ Addicted to Leather and Speed!

digging through old vinyl usually reinforces the knowledge of how much goddamn awful music was made the last few decades that was justly never repressed onto CD and is lost to time. But who doesn't love the occasional website loaded with pictures of ridiculously stupid LP covers from years back?
I never had any golden rare finds with LPs but with cassettes years back I found a store that was offloading the following albums for $1 apiece, I promptly bought all of them even though I had several already on CD.
Agony Column - Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles
Candlemass - Nightfall
Candlemass - Ancient Dreams
Confessor - Condemned
Exhorder - Slaughter in the Vatican
Heathen - Victims of Deception
Nocturnus - The Key
Scanner - Hypertrace
Unseen Terror - Human Error
V/A - Grindcrusher
Virus - Force Recon
Xentrix - For Whose Advantage? _________________ I was a brazen prince and cold, now a king on an oaken throne |

Got the Abhorer 7" not too long ago for $10 in shop that stocks mostly Jazz and rap. They also had Nuclear Death's "For Our Dead" for $15, but if I bought that I'd have no cash to get home...ha.
Hopefully they might still have it. There is a couple of shops on Long Island where you can always find something worthwhile.
But if you want an interesting social experiment, try this:
post a "items wanted" ad on Craigslist for Metal records, tapes, etc. and see what what ex-Metalheads contact you. I do it every now and then and list that I'm only willing to pay $1 per LP. I got two replies so far. First one was a goldmine. Oz "Fire in the Brain", first four Metallica LP's, Slayer, Razor, Celtic Frost...all mint for a $1 each. I've gotten over 100 LP's this way.
Try it and see what you dig up. |
