Saw one of these mentioned... my most loved technical/progressive DM releases are:

ATG - The Red in the Sky is Ours <3
Atrocity - Todessehnsucht <3 great solos

Both stand erect eternal.

The new Rivers of Nihil album is great, as are their previous 2 albums.

Tech death but not overly flashy, definitely for fans of real good drumming and solid and impressive riff work.

For me personally, I found for some years that Canada is the new Florida of technical death metal.....

Unhuman
A weird technical band that at times sound like Macabre because of the high pitched vocals. Very natural sounding! Nothing too compressed or triggered unlike the most gay tech dm bands!
If someone has their "Too drunk for nothing" demo, please make a rip!

https://unhumanofficial.bandcamp.com/

Sutrah
The ONLY band that has come close to the greatness of Lykathea Aflame! But don't expect a rip off either: very cool to hear something then the usual darkness in dm since they sound very "uplifting", but beware: don't expect In Flames/Amon Amarth gayness since these guys blast alot, just like Lykathea Aflame! Why this band remains unsigned, is a mystery to me....

Not at all shocked that someone with a Disincarnate song title for a user name has several awesome suggestions.

Now that I see that the OP also wanted something in the vein of Cynic...

Violent Dirge
I heard that their stuff was going to be re-released by VIC records but untill now I haven't read this officially. These Polish guys definately sounded like if they could have been from Florida! Especially their 2nd album sounds like a more aggressive version of "Focus"

Elapse (First album) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x42jIyh-Hb4

Craving (2nd album more like Cynic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXpa986xqIg

Absorbed
These Spanish band released one album which lacks all the aggression, but if you buy their "Reveries" 2-cd comp. you will find also tracks of the Avowals split cd that is pure Cynic worship but more thrashier: sounds like something made in heaven right?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWq0YI3PBso ----> The 1st 4 tracks are the gold that is worth of getting this compilation!

......I could go on and on...

We just released an album which you could consider technical death metal: https://i-voidhangerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/in-vengeful-reverence

Gigan's discography is pretty awesome and not many people talk about them. Good tech death without too much wank. Also Pyrrhon is a solid tech death outfit too.

ORGONE - little known, more -"core"ish"... think BtBAM but not cheesy and shit songwriters... really interesting, long phrases: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxiK0dtKf5g

Modern technical death metal is most of the time a total borefest, soullesss and irrelevant. But this album is one of the few exceptions
