Besides KD and MF, I have some Overdrive stuff and am looking for more in that realm. Any recommends from any era besides late 2000's and 2010's would be appreciated! _________________

You've probably listened to them before, and sure they're pretty mainstream but In Solitude are a quality act.Been listening to a lot of Sister and the 2nd album these days. |

From Sweden (which has the ULTIMATE HM-scene of Scandinavia):
Gotham City - Killer Angels 7", Black Writs Ep and The Unknown LP
Universe - S/T
Heavy Load - Stronger than Evil, Death or Glory (and the rest also)
Europe - S/T (Before turning to full hair-metal they were one of the best Heavy Metal bands of Sweden)
Jonah Quizz - The Anthology (Hjärtlös Stadt is a super Heavy Metal tune)
Mindless Sinner - Turn on the Power LP
Blacksmith - Gypsy Queen
Wizzard - Ninya Warrior 7"
These are just the top of the pop. I could probably recommend 100 lesser-known but totally awesome Swedish HM-bands. If you love the sound there's much to learn.
Denmark
Witchcross - Fit for Fight LP
Randy - Shadows are Falling 7" but the S/T compilation is full of ultimate Heavy
Finland (To be honest Finlands early Heavy Metal-scene wasn't that great but there were a few deserving to be mentioned):
OZ - Third Warning LP (NICE LITTLE HOUSE AND A WIFE, BUT I WANNA SING IN A BAND!)
Sarcofagus - Cycle of Life and Envoy of Death (first HM of Finland, unique and obscure and Fenriz likes them)
Tarot - Spell of Iron
Kassu Halonen - I Have Played Rock'n'Roll
Crom - Earth Queen/Eyes of Fire
Wildchild - Rock with Me/Ridin' the Night 7" (just made reunion)
O.S.S.Y - Tanssityttö Barbara (Singer went to prison for 12 years for multiple cases of rape, human trafficking and fraud in 2011)
also Kirka and Popeda
For Norway I can't say and I hope someone will recommend some Norwegian Heavy. |

The second favorite 7" in my collection after Y Diawled. Flawless. Shame the direction they took on the follow up. The Zone Zero single is among the best as well. |
