Anything after Spheres has been unlistenable for me.

Agree, and every album seems to be an attempt to destroy the perfection of the Pestilence early days.

even before listening I'm 100% sure this will be another abomination.
patrizio marco giovanni mameli should do more duckface selfies at the gym and stop shitting on pestilence's legacy.

C'mon now.

Cover looks okay, we'll see about the music (I put my trust in the new band members.)

The new re-reunion album cover is not too bad compared with the crap that adorned their 3 previous reunion shitters. A Seagrave it is not though.

Now for some positive news. When i was with some friends at the Hammerheart office, chatting, buying and looking around for cd's/lps'/shirts,Guido played us some of the new Pestilence material and it sounded quite promising.
Not immediately catchy but it was definitely sounding like a mix of Testimony and Spheres, the vocals, production and the music. Typical Pestilence riffing. So this will be my first Pestilence album since Spheres that i will add to the collection.

When Pestilence reformed the first time i was really excited and even more disappointed and let down listening to Resurrection Macabre. Even if there was Pestilence riffing on the album i constantly had the impression as if listening to a generic brutal american DM band. The two after that were just abominations.

In contrast,Hadeon sounds like a more logical continuation of the Pestilence story. I really hope that the complete album will be a return to form.

If it comes even remotely close to TotA, I'll be amazed.
