The Sinister Flame is extremely proud to present the long-awaited LP version of DOMAINS’ highly acclaimed Sinister Ceremonies, with the official release date set to August 10. Praised in and out of the underground, this is an album many have viewed not only as the album of the year but as the very rebirth of the Black Death Metal genre.

The first pressing will be done in standard black vinyl and it is now available for pre-ordering directly from TSF for 15 EUR + postage (all contacts: northwind@thesinisterflame.com).

You can also ask for orders from our official and exclusive distributors for this release:
BENELUX: New Era Productions
FRANCE: Dead Seed
GERMANY: Iron Bonehead & Amor Fati
ITALY: Elektroplasma & Iron Tyrant
SPAIN & PORTUGAL: Domains & Antichristian Front
UK: Code 7/PHD (no pre-orders)
USA: Ajna

All distributors and mail orders are encouraged to get in touch for wholesale prices. No trades for the vinyl version!

“Cries and human blood… shed before me
diluted through the night
Trapped on the horizon that I left behind
They don’t move me, nor blur my vision
My eyes and flesh ceased to be of a slave
Through Infernal Damnation”

Already contacted Ajna a few weeks ago when I saw this thread surface (not sure what happened to the threads that got deleted concerning this?)

Regardless, great fucking news... looking forward to getting this on wax.

I'm very excited to see and hear this tremendous album on vinyl.

After some more months have passed, this album has remained stuck in my CD changer. At the time of its release it already struck me as incredible and that feeling grows with each listen.

I am thinking that "Crowned at Dusk" has become my favorite Domains track. It sends me into a blood frenzy every time.

Reserved my copy at AJNA. I'm excited to hear it all the way through as I've managed to restrict myself to only the band camp samples. Twisted Evil

Between this and Innsmouth's debut 2014 has been an interesting year so far for newer DM bands.

There will be no bonus tracks, we only recorded what we considered 100% worth of it.

The LP version will look very much like the CD did, although there will be one haunting extra drawing.

The factory just told us that they'll ship the copies on August 1, so we're not far away.

The vinyl should be available from all the distributors mentioned in the first post next week.

Amidst all the praise this album has got from the Metal press, here is some interesting feedback we got from a traditional England-based Order Of Nine Angles nexion. Considering these insightful words, maybe more labels should start sending their promos to Satanic Temples rather than fat and lazy "journalists"? Wink

"Looking back somewhat to the late 80's & early 90's heyday of Morbid Angel and Mayhem, Domains nevertheless do not idly wander around in the past like some bored tourist through a museum, but continue in the spirit of those bands, striding confidently forward just as those aforementioned names of legendary status once did. It is modern in the same sense that Altars of Madness was modern for its time; originality born through an expansion upon what came before, rather than the messy eclecticism disguising itself as forward-thinking progression considered by today's clueless outsiders or burnt out insiders as constituting new ground being broken. Sinister Ceremonies is evidently steeped in and has a grounding in the wider context and evolution of death & black metal, often sorely lacking in newer bands too self-referential to be able to express their works as anything beyond an insular pre-formed notion of "being a death metal album". Though it may not astonish or bewilder the listener with alien newness as "De Mysteriis" may have done, it still stands apart from most contemporary albums by virtue of its genuine sinister intent evoked without aesthetic gimmickry or posture. Lyrically and musically unpretentious, it cuts to the heart of the essence whilst retaining further secrets to unfold with future listening as one gradually learns the contours of its landscape and thus its hidden details. "

Interesting feedback, that makes me wonder why the link of the underground scene with okkult, Pagan or Satanic organisations seems to become less and less these days. In the past there was quite some interaction; thinking of the Balder movement, ONA, Church of Satan etc.
New and small cults were set up and abandoned, articles on such were published in 'zines, publishers were promoted in Metal 'zines etc.
Could be a separate thread I guess.
