Will be in Seattle later this month.

Any special things/places to see?

Thoughts on Zion's Gate Records?

Other record stores worth checking out?
Aside from metal, I'm looking for experimental and ambient records.

Sometimes there are killer exhibits at the Frye and Henry Galleries.

Zion's Gate has a great metal selection, but it's expensive.

Go play pinball at Add-a-Ball. 3 blocks from Jive Time.

I got lucky during my visit a few years ago and scored a GRIFFIN - Flight of the Griffin LP for $10.

Check http://www.nocleansinging.com/nw-metal-calendar/ for most local metal shows/tours.

Other than the places already mentioned, golden oldies is worth stopping by, I've gotten some gems there, silver platters is a chain and mostly pricy, but occasionally ill find a good 2nd hand. Avoid buying anything from zionsgate imo, just check their discogs to get an idea of the prices.

Definitely worth stopping at El Camion if you pass one of their taco trailers. The sandwich shop up Freemont from Jive time has worthy Cuban sandwiches too if you can catch it non lunch rush hype time

Singles going steady on 2nd in Beltown is worth stopping by (if they are still going)

I second Discovery park as well. A place you can easily blow a full day on just roaming. Great place for running too

Yeah, I read some reviews too... So they generally have a huge mark-up on everything, but they have a lot of rarities as well it seems.

And then there's that story with the floor stock in which you can't even browse Laughing supposedly it's for online orders only.

Thanks.

Is your public transit system complicated? Or is it just me?

Singles Going Steady is definitely still going. Good selection of hardcore punk stuff.

The bus and light rail is pretty easy.

Ya, I'll probably get one of those Orca cards and put some cash in it so as to not fuck around with small change every time I get on a bus.
