Are there sill nowadays any bands that could be compared to the style of that album? I am looking for strong bands (signed/unsigned) in that style. Music can/shall feature acoustic guitar, keyboads, choirs, even flute. The songs should have real riffs and compositions. Please no standard fast and raging norsecore or super clean (yet sterile) sound, but something with a lot of atmosphere. Even older bands which I maybe do not knoww ould be appreciated as well. And please no PAGAN (at least no funny sounding lalala ones)! Thanks...

Maybe:

Odium
Zargof
Obtained Enslavement

Those come to mind first. There are many others, but at this hour I cannot think of any others.

It's quite stupid to promote my own band, but who cares. I've used all those, but maybe the style is still not right for you.

Anyway, here's a sample: http://www.debemur-morti.com/samples/October_Falls-IIIEdit.mp3

No problem, thanks. We got a couple of the "Sarastus" M-LP from NSOL. Okay stuff (more Neofolk or something like that, if I am right, will check it again), but indeed, not the music I have had in mind
(edit: the sample from the debemur morti page is a good one - especially the bass guitar and choirs sounds great).

Half of the recordings are acoustic material (like Sarastus is) and the records Debemur Morti have released are harsher material (from where the sample is).

But I'll post some bands when tonight when I get off from work.

ODIUM were more into the LIMBONIC ART rather than SATYRICON sound.
and there exists an LP version of the "Sad Realm of the Stars".

I found the recent album by XENOPHOBIA Reclaiming Celtic Glory to remind me of SATYRICON's first disc.

For some reason, XIBALBA's Ah Dzam Poop Ek also reminds me of Dark Medieval Times.

Listen to a copy of Great Horn - Trizna After Sunset Demo 1998. Maybe you like it
But I think the band is split up long time ago

Most of these are older bands, but maybe some of them are at least a bit unknown:

Raate - Sielu, Linna
Isvind - Dark Waters Stir
Maligant Eternal - Tårnet
North - From The Dark Past
Sacrilegium - Witcher

1st Obtained Enslavement Album and 1st Enslaved on VInyl would be a Crusher...

some more ideas, but not comparable to old Satyricon:

2nd Ancient Rites
1st Unpure
In Battle 1st and 2nd Album

Indeed, but hopefully without any bonus tracks. Unless they're pressed on a bonus-disc, but I hate when a great concept is fucked with some useless, shit-sounding rehersal track after the last normal track on the album.

Fuck Bonus Tracks...I think you´re referending to their new shit.
Only the pure violence of the 1st Original CD.

What I meant was the Enslaved DLP, that was supposed to include some useless live bonus-tracks, but that was never released. I'd like them without any bonus-tracks myself.

I only have demo 3 and promo 97. The promo isn't nearly as good as the old demo. Are the later albums also only "ok"?
