I hope that releasing something through Relapse doesn't automatically imply the common chugga chugga metal that is to find in their bands....
the 7" was killer, I have high expectations towards the album.

That's just what I wanted to say...

Anyway, I hope they'll stick to their Mexican-esque style of DEATH.

Cool news!
I canĀ“t imagine that they alter they style just to release an ep on Relapse.
Having said that, I still have to get "Immense Carnage Vortex".

Judging by their online track I'd say they haven't let up on the sound of their ep. Should be a fucking good LP.

No not at all! There is an undeground 7" series relapse are doing etc Its just a one off. Denial are not interested in this kind of label direction at all.

The tracks i have heard so far post mix are fucking dark and deadly!

2009 denial european conquest is in final planning stages!

They are a bunch of posers that also play salsa and disco on weekdays...one is a corrupt lawyer, the other is a fashion designer, the other is an electronic DJ, and the vocalist sells downloaded porn from the web... Razz

Gotcha!!! Hehe, killer stuff, like what Cenotaph should have been if they went in a more brutal direction, beside they are very good friends.
I am looking for a label to re-release on vinyl the second Cenotaph album "Riding our black oceans"...I edited this one in tape 13 years ago, and sold rights for CD to Cyber Music (who ripped us by the way, but well) and in 1998 to Oz Records. The rights belong now to the band, but we agreed to search for a vinyl release, it is really worthy.

No, it was Edgardo (who is now a bodybuilder). Yeah "Saga..." is a great album, too bad it was created at the end of their career as Cenotah, it also deserves a wax treatment (and new art/layout) to do this justice!

this album is so complicated I get headache when I listen to it. Some songs have leads from beginning to end. Not a headbanger's delight, that's for sure. I see it as they tried a little bit too hard on the At the Gates path. I'm going to play it again right now, it's been years since I listened to it. Very Happy

Yes, it sounded so scandinavian that I sold it years ago... also early Dark Tranquility/Gothenburg sound in general - at least that is what I remember.

Forget about the second Cenotaph. The first one is a milestone in Mexican death metal.
