I just noticed that PHLEGETHON is active again. Or to be more precise, has been for some time already.
A new song and some older ones from a previous demo can be found from here:
http://www.myspace.com/phlegethonfin

Pretty straightforward songs, Fresco Lungs had more obscure twist to it.
News on the Death Metal Power compilation, is Final Punishment records up for it anymore?

The new recordings (06-08 ) are great. They should concentrate on Phlegethon rather than those crappy sideprojects if you ask me.

Their latest demo song is total old school Swedish death... very Dismember/Carnage-like. They should do an album like that, they're very good at it. Great riffs.

Xtreem is supposed to be releasing a compilation of their early demos, with a newer one as a bonus, but it keeps getting pushed back. Fresco Lungs is really good, so I hope this thing finally comes out soon.

Great band, are the Xtreem release with both demos out yet? Used to write with some of those guys...their MLP was not as good as the demos...

Some news concerning the demo compilation from their myspace:

Quote:
The demo compilation renamed to "Drifting in the Crypt"
Yep, forget the title "Visions from the Forestside"! The reissue will be called "Drifting in the Crypt"! Much better, right?! It is a line from our oldest song ever recorded "Sunset of Golgotha". Also the cover art will be different than what announced earlier. We will reveal the art later. We hope this crypt to be opened to the public this summer or so by Xtreem Music.

PHLEGETHON - DRIFTING IN THE CRYPT will include:

"Visio Dei Beatifica" demo 1989
"Neutral Forest" demo 1990
Two tracks from "Totems Within" demo 2005
"Lava Poetry" demo 2006
