Found that picture on another board, but it seems impossible to find further infos 'bout the release.

Has anybody of you noticed if it's a bootleg or an official release? In the latter case what's the label in charge?

I bought it yesterday from a record shop here in Greece. I'm 99.9% positive it's a bootleg. I mean the THORNS logo seems to be stretched, so it has pixels...Unfortunately I've never heard the original CD, so I can't say nothing about the sound. The packaging is shit!

EDIT: forgot to mention that Kaleidoscope Productions has released it

I think it's on Kaleidoscope recs. Wasn't this the label that did the recent Satyricon 7"/cd thing?

Would be a great album to have on vinyl. However that particular release looks horrible.

From THORNS myspace:

We are in the process of recording our second album now. We are working in Oera Studio here in Trondheim with Jostein Ansnes and a couple of other good technicians. We started recording drums on September 1. and will start recording guitars and bass the coming week. Vocals will be recorded in a separate session later this fall, and we will use some time with additional instruments and recordings to accompany the basic instrumentation. We hope to deliver the master to Moonfog before Christmas and that the album will be out first quarter of 2009.

We are proud to say that we have 10 great songs written by myself and Jon Wesseltoft. Lyrics are mainly written by Aldrahn. The material on this album is mostly harder, darker and more energetic than on the 2001 album. Gratification guarantied!!

Can't wait Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

That layout is pure shit, but the original isn't so hot either. Cool for a video game box, but not for a Black Metal release.

Gods what a horrible looking record, and yet I still feel compelled to aquire it.
Who the fuck decided on this visual appearance anyways ? Even the cheapest graphics tinkering wanna-be artist could do something better and more pleasing to the eye than that I'm sure, hell I could have put together something better I think. ...and still I want the damned album. Confused

for not liking it all that much when it first came out I've found myself coming back to that first Thorns album many times over the years and warming to it greatly. Moonfog's roster never did much for me but reflecting back that album still does the trick to this day, I didn't know they were recording a second one but I'm looking forward to it.
