Run After To
Paul Chain/Death SS

just recently picked up the mlp from Rex Inferi.

I am always in the search for "new" music to hunt down. as many of you, and right now my ignorance has finally led me to Paul Chain and the Black. If somebody could give me a few pointers as where to start, and what to avoid(if anything) I would be a happy camper Twisted Evil

About THE BLACK, I have Apocalypsis and Capistrati Pugnator + Peccatis Nostris and both of them are excellent occult Heavy-Metal. I won't call it Doom-Metal, because their music more occult than really doomy, in the end.

PAUL CHAIN made good stuff too. Opera Decima is sometimes hard to get in, so I advise you to listen to Park of Reason besides Alkahest. The SAINT VITUS cover is awesome, as is the whole album. This album can be found for a cheap price, too.

Oh, and you may want to check UNREAL TERROR. This band's guitarist went to be a founding member of THE BLACK, and here you get dark Heavy-Metal with some Doom touches and some killer songs.
Check the review here :

because it's the kind of review that really make you want to check the album.

the doom metal tag is bullshit when it comes to the supreme italian bands. occult is right on the money.

Paul Chain's ASH is fucking great as well

Paul Chain's 'Violet Theater' stuff is where it's at... but as others stated very expensive.
