Obviously a bootleg (the cover is really this blurry), but I just had to have this masterpiece on vinyl.

A Carnage bootleg? Must be another series of classical LP´s being bootlegged... A shame.

I've got a feeling that it will be one of the next FDR releases by Earache:

Found Ripping Corpse and Sarcofago still sealed at Armageddon.

Since there seems to be no "tools-of-the-trade" thread, I figured I'd just post this here. So far worth every penny, I've never seen my records shine as much or heard them as dead silent as they currently are. Cool

Is that manual? If so, I recommend going to the thrift store and buying the cheapest TT you can find. Take it home, remove the belt, and use it to hold the LP while wetting/scrubbing, then put the wet side on the vac and vacuum it. Repeat for the other side. The TT gives a solid back support while scrubbing, unlike the vac cleaner, and you can use the knob thing for the vac cleaner to spin the LP on the TT. I also recommend this brush:

Is that one made by Nitty Gritty?

It's the Nitty Gritty 2.5fi; automated fluid application and turning. I scored it for pretty cheap on eBay here a week ago. Thanks for the suggestions, that might be worth doing for my rinse cycle as it only has one reservoir tank and I use that for the cleaning solution. So far my method is: clean A -> dry A -> clean and dry B while scrubbing A with distilled water -> dry A scrub B with distilled -> dry B. I'll see how it works out, as I've only had it for a few hours now. But it does feel sketchy scrubbing any harder than very gently without a surface underneath...

Cool; I'm not familiar with their automatic machines. I use an old TT+manual Nitty Gritty. The only automatic RCM I've used is my dad's VPI 16.5, which basically has its own platter.

If you buy an old TT, it doesn't even have to work, as you're just buying it for the spindle/platter. It would probably help during your "scrub with distilled water" step, as I'm sure you've already realized that the LP has minimal support underneath while doing that on the Nitty Gritty.

If you have proper support underneath, you can actually scrub pretty hard when the LP is wet with the proper brush (like the one above), but always scrub "in the direction of the grooves," ie don't scrub from the record edge toward the spindle.

Anyway, congrats. RCMs make cleaning records so fucking easy, and do a phenomenal job.

Yeah, I was postponing this buy, but I decided to get it before it was too late.
It's very good and this release is amazingly beautiful too!

from HHR:
Undead Creep - Enchantments from the Haunted Hills 7" (I like this so much more than their full length, here's hoping their next album is like this one)
Necrovation - Gloria Mortus 7" (not as good to me as their S/T but still good)
from NWN:
Morbosidad / Nominon - Maldiciones Impuras 7" (can't wait to hear the nominon track, not really into morbosidad)

upnext: Entombed Hollowman FDR, Valkyrja Contamination + The Antagonists Fire, Dawn reissues, Carnage reissue, Lord Belial - Enter the Moonlight Gate, Abigor Leitmotif Luzifer.
debating whether or not to buy Carcass Symphonies of Sickness FDR and Grave Into The Grave 2011 reissue. I don't love those albums, but I really like the Carcass and side B of Grave. plus I'd have to order them from germany.
