Got a sealed first press of Tom Petty Wildflowers in the mail as a birthday gift from my old man. It was totally unexpected and cool, as it is not an easy record to find, and is one of my 3 favorite TP albums. It sounds fantastic.

DSS and HotBlack-seems like assholes indeed. Remember ordering from the swedish punk/hardcore distro burning heart in the nineties, they would call while packing orders to make sure they got it all in. Good people.

I still have Absurd "Asgardsrei" CD on IG Farben without the booklet and tray card. I got it as part of my order from No Colours with a note saying that if I want the booklet and tray card I should send another 20 German Marks because the shipping was more than estimated. That's the last time I ordered from them.

And I stopped ordering from Osmose after their "BIG" sale. I ordered a bunch of stuff worth over $800 (I think this was 1996) and only half of it arrived with a note saying that my order has reached the Osmose office after the sale was over. I missed the last day of the sale. So he charged me regular price for all the items and not the discounted price. That's the last time I order from him.

Good to see some love for TP on this board. Long After Dark is my favorite.

@HotBlack

I did back in the '90's. And I know lots of people who did as well. I know Osmose was a bit 'cheap' back in those days. I would never place a small order back then (before the internet). It would always be $400 or more worth of merchandise. And he would always subtract a CD or LP from my order saying that shipping cost was more than estimated. This is back when you had to wait 4 to 6 months for your order and communication was only via snail mail. So it wouldn't surprise me if the ballots were never put in a draw. No Colours would do the same with my orders, always subtracting an item because 'shipping was more than estimated'.

I did this as well back in the '90's.And in fact they had sent me a IMPALED NAZARENE LS (with the old Ugra Karma cover) with one of my orders & a small letter telling that i was the lucky winner of the shirt! But i had similar experiences with Osmose for large orders, there was always something missing with the shipping cost excuse.

Wow, first winner that I have heard of. Perhaps I was wrong.
