Totally true. Some Watain show/tour flyers are amazing.

And overall, if you think their music, they've certainly grew a lot and gained some "enemies" through that, but songs like this:

There's nothing commercial here, they've taken the UG into new dimensions, but should they be blamed about it? Surely they often take their comments over the top, yet, still their albums stand behind them.

And their Bathory-tribute surely gave an inspiration:

I prefer to wait until the DLP hits my turntable.

People simply don't like change that's all. I don't see how a band like Watain is 'commercial'. They took each album a step further in a different direction and people get all pissy about it. I'm not a huge fan of the band myself but to label them commercial is absurd.

BTW, the song you posted has some Kreator (Pleasure To Kill / Terrible Certainty) vibe going on at times. And a bit of Behexen-like parts. I might actually buy the album.

No label on it at all. It's a relatively new one. Dark Descent has a few left as of 30 minutes ago for anyone interested.

It's very listenable - About a B/B-. It's been cleaned up nicely from the tape floating around for the last 29-years or so. No hiss and a "warm" feeling of a booted live gig.

Raw emotion, shitty recording, performed by real warriors that would make your grandma piss her bloomers and pray to jesus.
