Are distros stocking the Armatus split now?

Yes, I got my copy from Christhunt Productions (Germany). It seems that it is sold out there, but you can still buy it here:

Thanks. Yeah, they told me they would get it, but I'm getting impatient, haha. And if the postage is about the same...fukkit.

So, for all you Watain-lovers here Wink :

All That May Bleed 7" and The Wild Hunt boxset with different extras and The Wild Hunt DLP and mediabook CD, When Stars No More Shine 7" and with Wolfwear-version, also XI 7" (Previously unreleased song with music and lyrics by Jon Nödtveidt and Set Teitan, performed by Watain). Great quality box and after the horror stories in here about their shipments, this came nicely packed, really fast and directly at my door (and as I wasn't at home, so they even delivered it into my work at the same day after calling me). I have to say that I've never seen a such 6-panel gatefold.

I still have to check XI tonight or tomorrow, but the album is actually very good and the new things they've brought in are very good, clean vocals works great. Overall, I didn't care the last release that much as an album, some great songs for sure, but this one feels totally different. Very nice details and atmosphere and awesome vocals, much better than before.

EDIT - Was expecting a lot of XI, but that's quite mediocre tbh.

I really have very little love for boxes and stuff like that, but it does looks very nice! Thanks for the input on the album. Heard They Rode On over at a friends place, thought it was very good, just waiting on the lp now!

Regardless of anyone's opinion of Watain, E. is one of the best graphic designers out there right now. That thing looks amazing.

So far my faves are:

De Profundis (great chaotic parts and vocals)
They Rode On (great piece with Bathory-like atmosphere)
Wild Hunt (Very nice atmosphere and after 3 minutes, Bathory-like atmosphere again)

And it's not like the other songs are bad, the "single songs" they published first are the worst for me, too much safe-play there, but on some parts of the album there are great production-tricks done by Tore, they remind me of Funeral Mist - Salvation a bit, not because of the music, but because of something you're not expecting to hear.

Totally agree with everything you wrote- although the 'single songs' do fit better within the album as a whole.

On topic- my box arrived today along with the latest batch of Ancient Records releases, the Drowned tapes, Destroyer 666- Phoenix Rising lp, Arfsynd cd, and some D&D supplements.
