| I dont mind the new album, but it certainly follows the same vein as Rebel and Volcano. The last album was a tactical release imo e.g. Make a commercial sounding album, get signed to a big label, gain loads of fans, then go back to what you was doing previously. |

| Satyricon are one of the few Norwegian bands whom I feel their newer material blows away anything they did in the early days. I thought the first few records sucked for the most part and are completely pointless when held up against the worksof their peers at the time (early Mayhem, Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, Burzum, etc...). I thought Rebel was their best record up to that point and have found something I like on each of their releases since. This one is no different. |

LP is pretty nice release, gatefold, black vinyl, printed innersleeve and poster. Took photos but have to find this shit to connect my camera with pc. |
Who did you order the vinyl from ?
I see Plastic Head has two versions listed, a version from RoadRunner and one from Koch for this particular album. |
It is available in my country at several auctions. price was around 20 $ _________________ Looking for :

a bit of thread-necromancy because I wanted to say this. I don't care for anything they did before or since, but these two are gems. metal archives seems to hate them too so they have to be good. _________________

Been listening to alot of Satyricon lately actually, everything from Rebel Extravaganza onwards anyways. Great stuff.
I just try to forget that I made the mistake of watching that one video they did, and pretend these guys are not gay looking affliction shirt wearing clowns now. |

| Earlier Satyricon bores the living fuck out of me. Some of the newer stuff is pretty good, Rebel Extravaganza in particular. |

Volcano is the beginning of their fall into crappy popular rock/"black" metal.
Lost interest for them since years now. Dark Medieval Times being my favorite (as I'm always more attached to Dark and nostalgic atmospheres rather than urban/modern atmosphres) followed by Nemesis Divina. Rebel Extravaganza was good too even if this is far from the previous albums. |

Those albums are really excellent, I agree. Other than that, I can't stand their old shit at all, and haven't heard enough of anything after Volcano to really form an opinion.
That being said, Frost looks like a tranny. |

I saw them live recently and they were good. When I'm saying good, I mean GOOD. In the past few years I had lost my interest in Satyricon, even their live shows were a bit.. different than what I expected and definitely not my cup of tea. And to my big surprise, they played Hvite Krists Dřd, I really didn't expect that. Satyr seemed more passionate compared to the previous time I saw them.. he's letting his hair grow long again, and that's also good for live performances. Great show overall, I was very satisfied. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

| When I watched them loads of the newer stuff I normally don't like sounded better live, faster and more agressive (even Fuel For Hatred which normally just used to make me laugh). First 2 albums are still 2 of my favourites. |
