Polluted Inheritance is worth checking out. Their two first albums have been reissued by Vic Records recently.

I have a theory that a lot of Australian bands are influenced by mid era Death.

Yosuke,
Do you mean like the last MARTIRE's "Brutal Legions Of The Apocalypse" Album? Question

Don't be afraid of a little more prog in your death metal - you'd do well to check out Obscura and Beyond Creation - they have killer riffs, totally awesome bass playing, and the drums don't sound like little clickey typewriters like on ITP!!!

And I don't see why maybe even a little Decrepit Birth and Necrophagist wouldn't be unwise....

On the last CD Obscura put out of their demos they did covers of Death, Atheist & Cynic and they're awesome!!

Obscura gets a lot of plays round these parts. Looking forward to the next album.

Agreed with Obscura, definitely on Cosmogenesis. Its like a modern version of an album like ITP.
