What are some of your favorite DVDs of black and death metal bands? Some that come to mind for me that have been enjoyable were Dissection, Watain, some of the Cannibal Corpse DVDs, etc. But I really haven't explored what's out there much over the years and am only now developing more of an interest in this medium.

Thanks!

Nokturnal Mortum at Kolovorot. A magical concert with a perfect setlist. The sound on the DVD is better than on the CD, too.

I didn't watched too many, but from those few absolutely the best is Negura Bunget - Focul Viu, especially the song Al Locului, which sounds a thousand times better than any studio version.

This is a great one that a lot of people probably have. I'm not into buying a lot of concert DVD's by themselves but occasionally a good one comes with an album.

CC's Centuries of Torment is great, although mostly for the documentary, and I enjoy several of the GWAR DVDs. The Sabbat and Metalucifer DVDs that NWN did are really good as well.

I like Vader - Vision and Voice. It's pretty cool when those teenagers get on stage and headbang.

Haven't seen it in a while but I remember blood puke salvation from Marduk being pretty good.

The early Autopsy rehearsal with Freeway on bass and baby in room whilst Death Metal going on at volume level 11, beer drinking and pot smoking is a goodin'.

I liked Dissection's video a lot. Great sound and crystal clear. You can even hear the audience singing the harmony to "Where the Dead Angels Lie".

Behemoth's Evangelia Heretika is ok. The sound is great, but the editing gives me a headache. However the second part of the video is live in France and it is much better to watch.

However Krisiun's Live Armageddon is the best video I have seen, especially their set Live in São Paulo 2004. Just dirty nasty and fast death metal at it's best.

+1 for the Krisiun Live Armageddon. I also have to add Amon Amarth Bloodshed over Bochum, this DVD has Amon Amarth playing all the songs from the first four albums.

Asphyx - Live Death Doom. Excellent show, documentary and a load of bonus material.
