The mighty Autopsy have just revealed that they’ll be releasing a brand new album entitled ‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves’ this April with Peaceville Records.
It may come as a shock to those still reeling from the grotesque majesty of last year’s ‘The Headless Ritual’, but Autopsy are clearing firing on all cylinders right now. ‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves’, their seventh studio album to date, was recorded at Fantasy Studios with producer Adam Munoz, and once again features the longstanding combo of Eric Cutler and Danny Coralles on guitars, Joe Trevisano on bass and, of course, Chris Reifert on drums/vocals. Artwork comes courtesy of Wes Benscoter, who was also responsible for the stunning ‘Macabre Eternal’ album cover.
The band themselves had this to say about the album:
“TOURNIQUETS TIGHTEN….HACKSAWS RIP…..GRAVES ARE FILLED…..THIS IS AUTOPSY, THIS IS DEATH METAL…. With the stench of ‘The Headless Ritual’ still permeating the befouled air, Autopsy has once again come for your very metal soul with their newest blood soaked homage to all things dark, twisted and horrific….once again bone crushingly heavy nightmares await…. ‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws and Graves’ will awaken the most depraved part of the coldest zombie’s stare…..blood will flow, brains will be destroyed, coffin lids will be opened….”
Featuring a potent blend of the band’s trademark death metal savagery and crawling, doom-filled sludgery, ‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves’ is bound to be yet another nail in the coffin of good taste and another triumph for good old fashioned death metal mastery. Bring it on!
‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves’ is due to be released on April 21st via Peaceville Records.

Damn, these guys are really cranking them out. Art is again a tad mediocre, but if the album's as good as the last one, I'll be 100% satisfied. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

Again? Damn, they are putting albums out too fast, I haven't even listened Headless Ritual yet. Artwork is good in a funny way. Autopsy is my all-time favorite DM but honestly I havent been really interested in any new stuff. Its good and similar to old records but not as good, so I rather listen Severed Survival and Mental Funeral over again. |

This inspired me to dig out The Headless Ritual again, which still rips. Looking forward to this. |

I'd snag Headless Ritual if I were you. I thought the same as you until I bought it and gave it a full spin. I'm now convinced Autopsy is one of the rare bands that age currently putting out new material equally as strong as their old stuff (along with Satan, Voivod, and not a lot of others). _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

I can't decide if I think this artwork is brilliant, ridiculous or both at the same time.... |

I dig that artwork, more than the one displayed on 'The Headless Ritual' at least... I thought what Wes Bensconter did for 'Macabre Eternal' was great but I have to admit that after few spins, ,'The Headless Ritual' proved to be much, much better. So kinda looking forward to it too... |

Wow now THAT's prolific....
Nowadays Autopsy still shits on 95% of DM bands so bring it on.
This sorta "emergency" smells good if you ask me
And that retro gore-zombie artwork in gruesome green is killer _________________ DISJECTA MEMBRAE plays Torture Doom
