Did rack deadlifts for an hour straight. I can't even count how many sets we did. We worked up to sets of 500-540lbs for 6-8 reps. Talk about destroying your back and spinal erectors. Then did some barbell T bar rows with 5 plates for a few sets and then called it a day. That is all you need if you want to kill your entire back with only two exercises. Compound city.

Soundtrack:
Infernal War - Redeskration
Paul Chain - Alkahest
Destroyer 666 - Cold Steel

Apparently. My hip flexor hurts among other things. Has calmed down a lot however.

Frozen Shadows....have not listened to that in a long while. The ep and first album are great! And love that bass line in Au seuil des ténèbres....ill be sure it throw it on for tomorrow's session...

Yesterday, h.b. squats for main sets and lots of single leg exercises for assistance. Tomorrow is close grip incline press.

At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul: haven't listened to this album in over a decade. Despite being a gateway album that arguable created hundreds of Swedish melodeath metalcore bands, it still holds up fairly well and doesn't sound dated. Songs like "Slaughter of the Soul", "Under a Serpent Sun" and "Unto Others" gave me a good push on squats.

Anaal Nathrakh - The Codex Necro: again, I haven't listened to this album in a long time. After "Submission is for the Weak", it got really boring. I finished my last set of Romanian deadlifts, did a few sets of calves and went home.

Tonight was:

Frozen Shadows. The ep is great...

Ewigreich songs only from the Verachtung split. Riffs and riffs....

Incline bench with swiss bar for 5,4,3,2,1,1,1 and AMAP back off set. Push ups afterward.

Selected trax from Dulce Liquido albums during my medicine ball slams that nearly killed me. Love hard industrial music i can dance and train to. Great shit.

Actually been leaning more towards hard rock/punk rock during training at the moment. Find during competition and late in a training block that I get really fired up with metal, but am backing off otherwise as I don't want the full on arousal every session (similar to ammonia, back slapping etc). Worked up to 2 x 3 at 235kg for deadlifts and 2 x 3 at 255kg for deadlifts from boxes three inches below knees to the soothing sounds of the Ramones and Van Halen.

Been such a frustrating day, lloking forward to a brutal full-body hypertrophy session within minutes:

Rambo: First Blood Part II as intro
Cripple Bastards-Misantropo A Senso Unico
Cripple Bastards-La Fine Nasce Da Dentro (promo pre-order)

No BS, brutal fast paced shit to rip the home Bunker apart.
Then off to feast on steak&broccoli.

A lot of power-lifters on this forum and not that many bodybuilder hypertrophy people. Interesting. I respect the shit out of power-lifting and do involve some of those tactics into my training. Strength is a specificity and very important in getting stronger. You must practice the lift.

I decided to toss on Bolt Thrower - IVth Crusade and plow through a push session, chest, shoulders and triceps. Nothing crazy, no high numbers, just moving the weight with good form. Incline barbell bench feels nice when I'm using the 30' incline.

Today is a pull session (heavy), and Fleshgrind - Destined For Defilement is going to be the choice.

Actually more of a overall power-bodybuilder/garage lifter myself, training for both strength and physique.
The idea that the two goals should be separated is no less of a modern degeneration as brain or spirit vs. brawn.
Of course being drug-free (except for caffeine…) and with a full time job tends to limit the useful range of productive stuff by itself.

Not a bad session btw. Added
300 OST instead of RAMBO II…excellent score!!! Basically full force Martial/Neoclassical.
BiggerNeater-everything
