One I forgot to include: I'm a HUGE fan of Matt Wagner's Grendel comics, and over the years I've acquired a few cool promo posters. This one is by far the best - it's in 2 pieces, together it's about 6 feet long. Need to get my mate who's a picture framer to mount it for me. Really missing having my extremely messy workbench you can see here since I temporarily moved out of my house while the builders are working on it.

"Jesse James and a hare" by Juha Vuorma. Not an original painting, but a print on canvas, made and approved by the artist.

I bought a print of the Grave Upheaval/Manticore LP cover from Tim G a year ago, I haven't gotten it framed yet. I took it in a few months ago to a framing shop and they quoted me $300 to frame it because of it's odd size. Like, GTFO, that's more than I paid for it!! I'm on the hunt for a good frame now.....

I also bought the King Crimson "Court of the Crimson King" 5 disc box set recently and there's a great LP sized print of the cover, so I am looking for a gatefold sized frame to put that in....

Thrift stores are the best way to get good frames cheap, just cut out whatever's in them. Matting board is only $15 a sheet usually and isn't that hard to do on your own. I just moved and most of collection is actually in one place for once, will post pics later.

Interesting work there. Looks a bit like a weirdo reprise of some of the early rinascimento icons to me.

Please post a pic as soon as you get it. Must be my favorite Boyd Rice album.

I like her early stuff a lot more as it had a strange kinda Geiger/Belkinski (sp?) vibe going on. Later stuff looks like the kinda shit you see in juxtapoz magazine every month, (maybe with a bit of Trevor Brown doll art thrown in) but she's doing well for herself, not that we've spoken for a decade or more.

Couple of other pieces I bought for my GF over the past few years:

Jen Lobo "fall from grace"

CC Askew - " queen of diamonds"

It's a bit of a tradition for us that for birthdays we get each other artworks. Now that (current circumstances excepted) I don't move house very much I've become a total homebody, and part of that is maintaining a creatively stimulating environment, and I think nicely presented art on the walls really helps with that. Despite pretty much always dating art school chicks all my life I'm not much chop as a painter/drawer if you except scale models/miniatures - I won a silver in the Australian version of the "golden demon" wargames miniatures painting competition last weekend. When I'm in my usual environment I have a couple of big glass cabinets with all that stuff on display.

GW painter eh? You must be pretty damn good to get silver in the golden demon. What kind of minis/armies are you into?
