Tell me about some good, new to semi-new, show playing/touring USBM bands of the 5 years?

Older US Roundup:

ABSU - Still solid after 23 years.

GBK - Limbo?

DEMONCY - Limbo?

BLACK WITCHERY - New material in 2014.

NEGATIVE PLANE - Hopefully new material soon.

PROFANATICA - Don't really play live too much.

VILLAINS - Love em. Need to get the latest one though.

XASTHUR, LEVIATHAN, NACHTMYSTIUM - Gone.

KRIEG - New material in 2014.

The Black Twilight Circle Bands - are they all broken up?

LITURGY & KRALLICE - Not into either...at all.

BLACK ANVIL - New one for 2014.

WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM - Not sure what they are up to?

AGALLOCH - New one for 2014. Yes, I put them in the BM scene.

MUTILATION RITES - Not into them, but some are on here.

TWILIGHT - Not really a band.

INQUISITION - If you call them a US band, we all know they are doing really well.

I do.
Black/Folk/Pagan/Prog for sure.
The early material has more BM, but BM is always present in their sound and vibe to me.

Kommandant, forgot about them.

They seem to have a good number of fans, but they are too gimmicky for me. I can't get past the Marilyn Manson thing.

Crap in the Piss Room shouldn't be considered BM then either...

DEATH FORTRESS has gone from a one-man band with a drum machine to a complete band featuring Sean Eldridge (DISMA, FUNEBRARUM) behind the kit. They are currently working on the debut full-length which should be delivered later this year, and I believe they are open to doing live shows at some point. All of the members are from New Jersey, so a show in NYC would be most likely.

Here are some of my favorite tracks from the demo era:

Also, Prosanctus Inferi is still going strong (although some may see this band as being more Death Metal), as well as bands like Nyogthaeblisz, Hellvetron, etc.

Not sure on the current state of Void Meditation Cult, I figured we'd eventually get new material but I'm not sure after the second COBG appearance was canceled.

Niantiel and Dissipation are still going, despite not having a lot of material or playing live often.

The list of more underground Black Metal acts within the US could go on and on.

*Edit: Morbosidad has a new line-up that's performing, despite Thomas's claims that he was retiring the band for a while.
