I knew putting INRI on there would stir up some discussion but after about 8 years of listening (although probably not as long as some of you) to that album I THINK that they're machine!

Sarcofago "Hate" has drum machine. Also Havohej has it.

I've always wondered about this one... Real or not...?

Maybe the INRI drums are an early example of triggered drums?

Darvulia "L'ombre Malicieuse": the drum machine gives this particular ritual ambiance. Great sound used.

Not an expert on identifying drum machines vs. live player, however I recall being corrected once that this band used a machine, and the album slays...

There is. When they were recording the album, Sauron's drum set couldn't fit into the small studio so they were forced to use drum machine. It's very well programmed anyways!
