Mortuus Infradaemoni sound pretty unpleasant. Sick and ugly, but still good.

Personally I would nominate Profanatica. In my opinion the early stuff is some of the darkest black metal created.

Meanwhile @ Necrosemen: how come you say Sadomator are "disturbing"? I personally don't think their music is disturbing, although I do believe that is bloody brutal metal of death.

despite having a terrible name, BSBC has been releasing some of the bleakest,
black soundscapes i've heard in recent memory. for an excellent introduction to their work, find For the Sickly Weaklings.

for blown out, fucked rock w/pe and black metal atmosphere you might want to check out Vegas Martyrs. waves of in the red electronic and guitar noise w/buried shrieked vocals. not too shabby.

Anywhere to get this? Care to rapidshare?

I'd say Deiphago or Lust because I can't fucking stand to listen to either.

Got my copies straight from the label Gnarled Forest, but I guess he's completely sold out of BSBC stuff now. The mentioned "For the Sickly Weaklings " Lp and the latest untitled Lp are still available from Aurora Borealis. Go for 'em!

You meant this to be in the "most shit" thread surely? There's nothing evil about those trendy faggots.

I don't mean they sound evil, just disturbing, insane and over the top, and only the early material, not the commercial sounding crap of lately. To each his own.

Fair enough, I can think of plenty of bands which are far more intense and OTT than them, but like you say each to his (or her) own. I think once you've seen Anaal Nathrakh hot in action down their local pub surrounded by fans and scenesters, their misanthropy seems somewhat fake.

Have to admit I hate even Anaal Nathrakh's early stuff. Was lent their CD once and it was unbearably boring!
