Mugs Ale House on Bedford in Williamsburg is bloody awesome. Had a 2007 Bourbon County this year that was amazing

had a great time last night. Mournful Congregation was fucking amazing; everything I hoped they would be in a live setting. I only caught the last 3 bands, and honestly do not even know the names of the other 2 bands I saw, one was from Houston and the other form Canada, but everybody sounded great and gave great performances.

Hails!

Apologies for the double-post. Anyway -- due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't make it to the Friday show.

Was there for the full evening last night, though. Can't say much about Esoterica (got waylaid in the bar), but definitely enjoyed the other sets. Was pleasantly surprised to LOVE the OTOH set -- I just can't grok them on their recorded material, but the set they played was intense as hell.

Yeah, I can see why people say OTOH are a "live band". The unreleased tracks they played were killer, too. Only downside is that Sargeist had to follow them... and I just wasn't interested. And I love Sargeist...

Prosanctus Inferi and Hell Militia have been great so far. Looking forward to Behexen. I hope they're not as drab as Sargeist last night. It's my first time seeing them.

Didn't go last night but...

Behexen was incredible (I didn't know they had a female band member...) but the night belonged to Hell Militia ... Really disturbing visuals they used on their back drop really added to the evil aura plus bonus points for their GG Allin cover Very Happy

Yeah, they were quite good. Riffs sounded clear, songs were interesting.
