When we go back in time before Darkthrone gave birth to "A Blaze In The Northern Sky". Which releases did made the biggest impact.

It's all great classic albums. I'd rather not pick anything on this poll.

Maybe anyways giving a kudos for mentioning the ROOT album as it's often forgotten. Such a killer album.

Huh, I'll go with Blasphemy today but all those albums are killer. I just feel Sarcofago should've been up there instead of Immortal.

Not from the same period so I understand why it is not included but Sodom's In The Sign Of Evil was one of the greatest.

Yes, i was thinking about that too.
But, i'd like to have been there as many bands in the 1990-1991 period. Shortly before ABITNS was released.
Deathcrush and UTSOTBM was listed because they were much closer to what later became the epitome ...

Because it is a thrash metal release, not a black metal release.

Agreed. Anno Domini should be on that list too.
It's hard to focus on the few most relevant.

I'd go for "7th Day of Doom" though. Wink

I still consider Sepulchral Voice as a stepping stone for "true" BM sound with it's tremolo dominated approach, still not really "cold" but it sure has the atmosphere.
