Excellent show in Austin last night. They are in top form and sounded very tight.

The best band currently signed to Relapse? A full US tour is in order, but I would hate to see them lumped onto summer slaughter or some other 8-10 band garbage tour.

Ah, just relapse for US distribution? That makes more sense.

Quote of the night, during soundcheck they said:
"make the drums sound less clicky, more old school" and the metalheads clapped while the sxsw badgeholders stood around staring at their phones

Bummed I missed it. Glad to hear it was good though. Did anyone who attended the show happen to wind down the night by getting run over?

Monday nights are tough and there are three other shows this week in Atlanta that people have to choose from.

Obliteration put on a great show. They were tight and powerful. And, they played "Goat Skull Crown".

Is is just me, or has this riff made an appearance somewhere else, before?

The New Orleans show was fucking awesome, they are still one of the best live bands to see, it was even more killer that they played on all of our gear! They apparently hated SXSW, they weren't allowed to sell any merch there which is complete horseshit. I bought two LPs and a shirt, good times, and NOLA is still the same, first thing I saw walking down the street was a haggard old meth witch take her pants off and piss all over the sidewalk, then a block down there was a pile of human shit. There were a lot of crusties with black metal patches and shirts on but none of them were at the show. I think Obliteration are pretty underrated and hope they get on a larger tour if they come back to the US, also Grave Ritual fucking rule.

Any pics of the shirt? Curious to see what they sell on the tour.

I bought an LP and a shirt from them at SXSW but you needed to ask them, they didn't have a merch table. They only had one design which was this but instead of purple it is red:
