The stream really put the songs in perspective; engaging stuff!

If I decide to do a vinyl version, it'll be a double LP, for the best audio result.

I'm glad you like the album, you have to know that I got in touch with the band when the singer/guitarist bought a copy of "To Endotaton" LP from my store... Smile

Ah, excellent mate! It was recorded on analogic gear or..?

Yes, 100% analogic gear!

Yes, indeed, a 100% analogue...... drum machine!

I might be wrong, I'm just listening to the album for the first time. But my ears are telling me some parts sound a bit staccato, either it's a great drum programming job, or some drum parts are looped.

Anyway, seems like a great album!

I don't know if there was any looping, but there was no drum machine involved. It was recorded analog, converted digitally for mixing, and mastered in analog to 2" tape.
It's indeed a great album, glad you're liking it. It seems that dm musicians are really into it, the album got enthusiastic comments from Wannels Gubbles of Pentacle and Mike Stevens of Timeghoul too.

A new trade with NWN is in the works, not sure when it will be finalized. But Dark Descent and Bindrune will get copies in a couple of weeks...

The very first HOWLS OF EBB interview is now up online at From The Dust Returned:

http://autothrall.blogspot.it/2014/04/howls-of-ebb-interview.html

An excerpt concerning the past experiences of singer/guitarist ZLH:

"Nepenthe started in 1992-93. At that time (and I imagine till today) there was no scene in Kansas City. It was just Order From Chaos and a few other folks. We all hung out together, and would occasionally play live for friends and OFC. Nepenthe technically played one live audience show, which was recorded and released as a cassette called ‘Live at Howards’.

In ’95, I changed the band name to Ligeia. The two primary reasons for the change were that the sound and style changed considerably, and band members trickled down to just myself, and Chris Overton, which made it more a project than a band. After the 1996 Ligeia release, In Death Overshadow Thee demo, I became pretty bored with metal in general. The second generation BM bands like Emperor, Mayhem, Burzum, Blasphemy, Impaled Nazarene, Samael, Beherit, etc…quickly were being duplicated (and still are now!) In addition to the stale nature of DM, it just all became hugely repetitive and predictable. The inspiration to create music quickly waned and I just moved onto other things that I enjoyed. My desire to write music picked up again around 2006."
