This project has been simmering in the shadows for a little while now and they played their first gig on Saturday (their next gig is on New Year's Eve with Tribulation and Vircolac).

Here is a snippet from the gig the other night and it sounds utterly monstrous. I understand there is a demo recording planned for April but this will have to keep me sated till then.

Heavy heavy heavy shit!

Another promising band DM on the rise in Ireland. I enjoyed that more on one listen than the handful of times I've managed to make it all the way through my Teitanblood debut album. Didn't hear much similarity. There was audible riffs going on with Coscradh for a start. Wink

Yeah, it's more riffy than either of the bands mentioned but has a similarly dense, downtuned and primitive sound. Maybe when the demo comes out other influences will become apparent.

Well the demo has surfaced in recent days on ye olde bandcampe. Apparently a tape is to follow on Invictus in the coming weeks. It's nice sounding shit I reckon if you can't get enough of the new/old DM sound of the last few years. Echoey vocals, cavernous vibe and all that sort of thing. Big groovey feel a bit like Bolzer in some ways. I think it's double hard stuff and I'm liking my first listen a lot it must be said. Will be tracking this down if I remember whenever I'm ordering shit next time. Nothing like a good out of nowhere demo tape to keep the buzz going.

Yeah I really like it. The sound is ghastly. Interview incoming.
