From the frosty mountain peaks of the Polish Black Metal scene to the almighty plastic throne of James Cameron-Metal, Behemoth has been there and done it. Praise deserved?

Sventevith, but really I wanted to vote for Pagan Vastlands and/or Forests Dream Eternally. Don't give 2 shits about anything after Grom.

From the Pagan Vastlands

I had Zos Kia Cultus LP once. I couldn't even finish through side A as I was already disgusted enough with it. Absolute crap. Exactly the kind of modern extreme metal that I really hate.

Sventevith is probably my favorite, but I don't know if that's saying much. Decent, but could have used a sturdier sound. I waited years before I decided to get my hands on Grom, but it was just plain awful.

The death metal version of Behemoth was uninteresting from the get-go.

I hate to say that and it almost makes me throw up, but here I agree 100% with you.

Everything after the (acceptable) "Grom" is pure rubbish.

In particular such videos are nothing but trash:

Any (Black) Metal-band having such music videos is laughingstock.

since no Pagan Vastlands, picked Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic).

I liked everything to Satanica, it has some of greatest riffs, but I overplayed it to the point where I only want to hear the earlier material, before they changed their style / sound.

"And the Forests Dream Eternally". I really dislike the vocals on Sventevith... Never cared much for the rest of their discography. Satanica and Demigod had some good songs, but they don't beat the early stuff.
