How far down their catalog can I go with this band? I liked the Impurity CD.

Fantastic German Death Metal band, which came/comes from around my hometown area near Ulm.

Debut has the strange Montezuma studio sound. If you can stand it (like Therion's Beyond Sanctorum), then it is worth getting it.

If you like Impurity, then go directly to Bloodsoul.

Bloodred Massacre is in my opinion the best one. When the drummer played the adv. tape in my car, the first thing I told him: you went more Swedish than before. I think it is their best CD. All tracks, and that includes the Slayer cover, have an ultimate downtuned Swedish sound, a superb beat and riffs that immediately go into the head.

As Blood Rains/Soulskinner go more back to the Finnish direction. Also very memorable brutal stuff.

Made Of Flesh and Structures Of Death are ok for me, but I hope each time about a new Bloodred Massacre, but well...

Their first one has lots of doomy Autopsy styled moments which make it great.
Impurity took a turn to a more crunchy and brutal straight forward Swedish direction, also great.
Bloodsoul and Bloodred Massacre eloborate on the Impurity sound but with more emphasis on melody.

After that they got too melodic for my taste, like SweDeath light.

One of the few German bands who play Swedish death metal style - crunchy guitars, memorable tunes.

You won;t be disappointed with any album you pick up at random.

The only ones I have are 'Descend into the Absurd' and 'Made of Flesh' and they equally rule.

"Descend Into The Absurd" is a classic DM album to me. "Bloodsoul" is also awesome.

Their other albums are quality but I don't listen to them as much. The only one I kind of dislike is "Made of Flesh" - some of the songs are catchy in a way that irritates me. Of their more recent stuff probably "As Blood Rains..." is the best one.
