The Crypt and Dark Descent Records are proud to announce a pact with one of New York's finest, Morpheus Descends. Formed in 1990 under the Morpheus moniker, Morpheus Descends was well known for its vicious death metal attack. Most of the band's back catalog is highly priced and very difficult to find, so it is with our pleasure that we are able to bring this material to the darkness once more! We are working out specific release details but you will be getting original artwork as well as a wealth of bonus material, no matter how it is presented.

Stay tuned for further details.

Good news. Hopefully the sound will be better than on the Xtreem Music version where the rec levels were too high, causing distortion in the sound.

not sure if I've heard the Xtreem release myself, but the thing I always thought was funny about the original was that the actual volume was on the quiet side but the mix sounds really overdriven and compressed. Not sure how it turned out that way. Here's to this comp having all of the albums in their best possible form. I'll be getting it for sure.

Let's just say the Xtreem version sounds even worse. I've heard the original as well and I know there are some sound problems there too, like you said. The problems just become magnified on the Xtreem version due to higher rec levels.

Hooray, now I can finally hear The Horror of the Truth, which is the one MD release that has always eluded me. I pretty much gave up on ever finding it like 10 years ago, so this is pretty awesome.

I guess that was their way of "fixing" the volume lol.

I found The Horror of the Truth at a local record store for 10 bucks a couple years ago. Definitely not a common CD. Good release, the dual vocals are sick.

Amazing. I remember looking for it on fleabay when I got internet and seeing it for like $115, for 3 songs. Fuck that.

Believe it or not, I found Chronicles of the Shadowed Ones in a shop, too. It was either $6 or $9 (can't remember). One of my best scores, ever.
