This too, I was thinking should I include because of the speed metal elements. But definitely!

Ranger MLP is good but not THAT good. Perhaps the hype is maybe a bit too overwhelming again.

It probably has to be Life Sentence, but honorable mention for me would go to Legions of the Deep by Arkham Witch. A more rocking take on what The Lamp of Thoth were doing? I don't mind at all.

Satan's Life Sentence, easily. Vocals rule. Magster Templi also rules. Master of the Temple is pretty epic.

Also got a reissue by the CT Legend which is pretty good if that counts.

I thought the new Jex Thoth was uninteresting as was the new Cauchemar. Few good moments, but mostly boring and uninspiring. Besides bad vocal mixes on both albums, the lulls are numerous, unpurposeful, and perhaps a misguided attempt at making the releases dynamic. Also, chill out on the organs and candles.

Blood Ceremony is terrible. After seeing them live, I burned all my Jethro Tull and Herbie Mann records. Someone cast Mute level 6 on them.

I agree that Jex Thoth is a lot ''softer'' and not as good as their earlier material, but I still enjoyed the album. I guess I just like some "softer" stuff here and there when taking from the death/black madness Razz
I don't see anything wrong with Blood Ceremony. I can understand not liking the flute, but otherwise it just sounds like good 70s influenced rock. Living With The Ancients is still their best.

Ranger MLP is on the top of my list as well. Are they being hyped a lot right now? Yes. But they definitely have what it takes to back it up.

I also have very high expectations for the new In Solitude album.

It will probably be the new In Solitude for me followed by The Devil's Blood - Tabula Rasa (once you get over the production). I also really enjoyed Enforcer's new one and the Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies EP his full-length is supposed to be out at the end of the year I think.

I wasn't drawn in by Blood Ceremony, Uncle Acid or Purson's new albums, but then again I haven't heard them in their entirety yet.

Still need to check out the new Kadavar and Scorpion Child albums.
'Devil Man' by Blues Pills sounds really good as well.
